When you work with our firm, you gain the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your case will always be handled by an Orlando-area Supplemental Security Income lawyer. AM I ELIGIBLE FOR SSI?
Although SSI is related to SSD, it has some notable differences related to eligibility. While SSD is available to those who have paid into the program via taxes on their paychecks, SSI does not have an employment or pay-in requirement. Additionally, SSI is only available to those whose assets are worth less than a specific amount outlined by the Social Security Administration (SSA). For this reason, the SSI program is often referred to as being income-based or income-dependent.
We will help you understand these and all other criteria for eligibility, and give you an honest assessment of whether you qualify for SSI. We can then help you fill out the initial SSI application, or help you fight for your benefits if you have already had a claim denied.
